I lie here,
Looking at you
With my bedsheets crumpled,
Hoping for something new.
You lighten up my room,
Casting eerie shadows on the wall,
Of the swaying white curtains,
Like a majestic bird's plume.
I lie here
Searching for you.
Hidden behind the grey clouds,
You morph like the butterflies do.
You stand there, miles away,
Playing tricks with the seas,
And your magical charms imprinted
On night and day.
I lie here
Counting the stars,
That adorn you like a king
But from afar, can't hide your scars.
Yet your presence has the grace
That makes me want to love,
At the pace that can't be slowed,
Leaving me in a daze.
I lie here
Being grateful, for you are a boon
To the wishful lovers.
And in all the glory, you are the moon.
